Easygoing, flexible and friendly
bed and breakfast accommodation in a cottage with character
overlooking the River Honddu in Brecon, Powys, Wales.

Bwythyn Dan Y Bryn is situated at the edge of the town
close to Brecon cathedral but in easy walking distance of
the town centre, about 250 yards or metres.

We're a small B&B offering one double room and one single
with a wash basin. From this room you can always hear the
sound of the running river Honddu.

We may have installed an extra bathroom by the time you visit but at the moment the bathroom is shared
however, rest assured, there won't be a mad rush or queue for the bathroom as there will only be from
one to four guests staying here at any one time.

TV's are in the rooms as well as tea and coffee making facilities, a private dining room and sitting room is also
available or you can join us in the kitchen.

Full traditional English breakfast with Welsh option such as lava bread.
We can also cook vegetarian or vegan breakfasts,
let us know in advance and we're happy to cater any dietry preferances
such as wheat and gluten or dairy free.

We try to source your breakfast requirements locally,
the eggs a free range from very happy chickens
whom you're more than welcome to meet, they live just up the road.

£20 per person per night, Jazz Festival weekend may be little more but not much.

Not only can you walk, climb or cycle up Pen Y Fan by different routes, you can also just look at it in the distance whilst sitting and sipping a cup of tea on our kitchen steps mini veranda, if you can find a spot amongst the flower pots.
